Do you provide activities to be completed at home?

Yes, home programming is an essential part of the treatment process. Your therapist will regularly provide you with tools and techniques that can be implemented into daily routines to support and facilitate continued success.


Will I have the same therapist each session?

Jackson Jade strives to schedule each therapy session with the same therapist to support continuity in treatment. Many times a family or caregiver’s availability influences scheduling and changes in therapists are necessary. In these situations our clinicians meet and discuss the client’s current needs, program, and therapy plan to ensure continued quality and success in treatment.


How long are treatment sessions?

Speech, Language, Swallowing & Feeding Therapy: Fee for service speech therapy sessions are scheduled in clinical half hour (25 minutes) and clinical hour (50 minutes) increments. Services reimbursed through insurance plans are scheduled in clinical half hour increments only. This is based upon our contractual agreements with your insurance company.

Occupational Therapy: All occupational therapy sessions are scheduled in clinical hour (50 minutes) increments regardless of payment source.



How long will I have to be in treatment?

The duration of treatment varies significantly based on several factors such as the client’s age, type of impairment, severity, frequency of treatment, amount of practice outside of therapy, progress, etc. Speech and/or occupational therapy is often an intensive, long-term commitment.


How soon after the evaluation can therapy begin?

Clients seeking treatment through fee for service can begin scheduling therapy immediately following their evaluation.

Clients seeking treatment through insurance funding may require prior authorization by your insurance company, even for patients with PPO plans. You may begin services immediately following the evaluation, however until such time that the insurance company authorizes payment, these treatment sessions will be billed directly to the responsible party.



Do you have a waitlist for evaluations?

Our scheduling staff attempts at all times to minimize the period between your initial contact and evaluation, however due to the popularity of our services and programs there are occasions where waitlists are unavoidable. The services received through Jackson Jade and the success of our clients are worth any wait you may experience.


Do you have a wait list for treatment?

No, we do not schedule any evaluation unless we have a treatment time available.


How often is therapy scheduled?

Treatment is scheduled based on the client’s individual needs. Most patients benefit from a minimum of two treatment sessions per week.


When will I start seeing progress?

Most clients who receive treatment through Jackson Jade Speech & Occupational Therapy begin seeing significant progress within the first few sessions. Our clients who implement home programs provided by their therapist tend to experience greater success in their academic, home, and community environments.


Do you provide in-home therapy?

At this time Jackson Jade does not provide in-home therapy. All of our speech and occupational treatment sessions are provided at one of our convenient locations.


I would like a copy of my evaluation report. When will it be available?

Your report is generated within the first few days following your evaluation. Diagnostic reports are available to you once we have received payment in full for the assessment.


Do you accept medical insurance for payment of services?

Yes, Jackson Jade recognizes how complex insurance billing can be. As a courtesy to our clients we direct bill for you. We currently have contracts with most major medical insurance companies and accept all in and out of network PPO plans.


How much will each therapy session cost if I choose to use my insurance as method of payment?

Your therapy session cost is based upon your policy, the current reimbursement schedules determined by your insurance company, and type of therapy provided. When scheduling your initial treatment an estimated cost per session will be made available upon request.


What method of payments do you accept for costs that are my responsibility?

For your convenience Jackson Jade Speech & Occupational Therapy currently accepts the following methods of payment for fee for service, co-payments, co-insurances, and deductibles: cash, debit card, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, personal check, HSA accounts if eligible.


Can I use my payments for speech and/or occupational therapy provided through Jackson Jade as a tax deduction?

Yes, you will be provided with a receipt for all payments received that can be used as a tax deduction. Please consult with your personal accountant for additional information.
